Privacy Policy

Your information, handled with care.

The same principle we apply to everything else: be straight with people. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Last updated June 2026.

01 Introduction

Webnova respects your privacy and takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legalese.

No website can promise that data sent over the internet is one hundred percent secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can promise is that we take reasonable, sensible precautions and that we are honest with you about how your information is handled. By using this website, you accept the terms of this policy.

02 Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information:

Information you give us. When you fill in a contact form, you provide your name, email address, and usually a phone number, along with whatever you write in your message. You give this to us voluntarily so we can respond to your enquiry.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use tools such as Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. This may include your browser type, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, and general device information. This data is used for statistics and to improve the site. It is not used to personally identify you.

Our contact form is also protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which helps us tell genuine enquiries from automated spam. To do that it may collect device and usage information, and its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

03 How we use your information

We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations, deliver the services you ask for, and keep in touch about your project. We may also use it to send relevant company updates, but only where that is appropriate, and you can opt out at any time.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party direct marketing. Ever.

04 When we share information

We only share your personal information in a small number of necessary situations:

  • With trusted service providers who help us operate, such as our email, analytics, and spam-protection tools, and only to the extent they need it to do their job.
  • Where we are legally required to disclose it, for example by a court order or a regulator.

We never sell your information or hand it to another company for their own use. Any provider we work with is expected to handle your data responsibly and in line with applicable law.

05 Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help a website function and remember your preferences. We use a few types:

  • Essential cookies that the site needs to work correctly.
  • Analytics cookies that help us understand how the site performs.
  • Functional cookies that remember your choices.

When you first visit, we ask before setting any non-essential cookies: analytics cookies are only used once you accept, while essential cookies are needed for the site to work. You can change your choice, or refuse and delete cookies, in your browser settings at any time, though some parts of the site may not work as smoothly if you do.

Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our contact form from spam, may also set a cookie for that security purpose.

06 How we protect your information

We store the information you give us securely and apply reasonable measures to protect it, including regular backups and our own hardened, monitored servers. While no internet transmission can be guaranteed entirely secure, we treat your data with the same care we apply to our own.

07 How long we keep it

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or for as long as the law requires. Non-personal, statistical information may be kept longer for internal analysis. We do not maintain a large customer database; most personal information lives in our email correspondence and trusted business applications.

08 Your rights and access

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To protect your privacy, we may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on such a request. Just email us and we will help.

09 Children’s privacy

This website is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of eighteen. If we become aware that we have, we will remove it.

10 Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of South Africa, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). If you access the site from elsewhere, you are responsible for compliance with your own local laws.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our practices or the law change. The latest version will always live on this page, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version.

12 Contact us

If you have any questions about this policy or about how we handle your information, please get in touch. We are happy to explain anything that is not clear.

Our designated Information Officer under POPIA is Abraham Vos, who you can reach at info@webnova.co.za.
