WordPress was the problem: slow, bloated, expensive to secure, and forever in need of maintenance. The Lumani Framework is our answer. Sixteen years of building sites went into it, and it runs every site we ship, including the one you’re reading this on.
Why we built it
You can’t optimise your way out of the wrong foundation. So we moved the foundation.
Our old site loaded in about four seconds, and we were proud of it, because of how much work four seconds took. Tuned caching, a tuned server, compressed content, a stripped-back theme, audited add-ons, deferred scripts, minified CSS. Weeks of work to drag a conventional site down to four seconds. And it crept back up every time a plugin updated or a client added a page.
That’s the trap nobody names. Built the usual way, on WordPress, you’re not building a website, you’re managing one. Forever. Every plugin is a moving part you didn’t make. Every update is a small risk. Every PHP upgrade is a thing that might break. Speed isn’t something you achieve, it’s something you constantly defend.
So we built our own framework. Pure PHP, assembled from self-contained components. No WordPress, no plugins, no database behind a brochure site, nothing bolted on. And because we build it with AI, the design gets better and the work gets faster at the same time.
