Overview
Chris Lotz (S.A.S.C) is a Cape Town-based cinematographer with thirty years across feature films, drama series, documentaries and commercials, including work that reached the Venice Film Festival.
The challenge
For a director of photography, the website is the showreel. Anything that gets between the visitor and the footage is a failure. The work has to breathe full-bleed, load fast, and feel as considered as the frames themselves.
What we built
A video-first portfolio built around background Vimeo embeds and a numbered, editorial navigation (01. Work, 02. About). Selected work is presented as a curated index spanning 2011 to 2025, letting the body of work speak chronologically rather than as a grid of thumbnails.
